- 1961 – Families would travel to Florence, SC or Wilmington, NC to attend church (about a 70 mile drive in either direction)
- 1965 – Orthodox services are held at the Episcopal Church on 31st Avenue in Myrtle Beach
- 1975 – Approval to open a mission Church with Florence being the “mother church”
- 1976 – Purchased a building on 44th Avenue N. for future church
- 1977 – First Orthodox Church in Myrtle Beach conducted services on Easter weekend with 27 families in attendance. Parish Priest was Father Nicolaos Spirakis
- 1977 – Community sponsors their first Greek Night – Town Party
- 1978 – Became independent from the Florence church and received our own charter
- 1980 – Purchased property on Hwy 17 by-pass anticipating the need for a new church
- 1988 – Ground-breaking ceremonies on July 17th for new church celebrated by His Grace Bishop Isaiah of Aspendos
- 1991 – First service in the new (current) church. Orthodox community now has over 100 families
- 1992 – Father Jeremiah Monios becomes the first full-time parish priest
- 1992 – Community sponsors and hosts our first Greek Festival
- 1997 – Community celebrates our 20th anniversary
- 1998 – Father George S. Zervos becomes our parish priest
- 2001 – As we enter the 21st century our parish continues to flourish – with over 200 member families
- 2002 – Iconography on the dome and pillars is completed
- 2003 – Diocese of Atlanta is elevated to a Metropolis, and His Grace Bishop Alexios is elevated to His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios of Atlanta
- 2004 – On August 22nd ground breaking ceremonies for the new fellowship hall celebrated by His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios of Atlanta
- 2004 – The second phase of our iconography is installed on the side domes and rear wall of the church
- 2005 – The long awaited fellowship hall is completed on June 23rd
- 2005 – Father Efstathios Varvarelis becomes our parish priest
- August 2007 – Father Konstantine Eleftherakis becomes our parish priest
- October 2007 – The third phase of our iconography is installed in the church
- 2010 – Father Angelo C. Pappas becomes our parish priest
