2010 Myrtle Beach Greek Festival

St. John's Greek Orthodox Church of Myrtle Beach is holding its 19th Annual Greek Festival September 23rd - 26th. This 4-day event will be held in the fellowship hall and on the Church grounds on the corner of Hwy 17 By-pass and 33rd Avenue North, on Thursday from 11AM – 9PM, Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m., and on Sunday from noon until 7p.m. Admission is only $1 for adults, and children 10 and under are free.

Come on out and enjoy mouth-watering Greek foods such as Gyros, Roasted Lamb, Greek Salad, Spanikopita and Mousaka – as well as a wide assortment of Greek pastries and breads. Soft drinks, beer and Greek wines will also be available. Try a Baklava Ice Cream Sundae. You can dine in, or get it to go.

There will be a coffee shop, gift shop and vendor booths. There'll be live Greek music, Greek dancers, and children's activities, as well as Church tours and informative lectures about our iconography and the Orthodox faith at 11:30AM, 1PM, 4PM and 6 PM daily.

Whether you come every year or you've never been, this is one fun and educational Festival that you don't want to miss! This year, a portion of our Raffle Sale proceeds will benefit CASA and the Waccamaw Youth Foundation as our way of saying "thank you" for your continued support of our parish fundraising endeavors.

We hope that you'll enjoy a taste of our cuisine and culture the GREEK WAY! O-PA'!!

FREE ADDITIONAL PARKING and continuous shuttle bus service from the back parking lot of Captain George's (29th Avenue N. @ Hwy 17 by-pass) 12 Noon – 9:30 pm daily.

If you are interested in being a vendor at the 2010 Festival, please contact Anastasia Spirakis at 843-497-2856.
