PHILOPTOCHOS: "Freedom Readers" in Myrtle Beach promotes a love of reading and
development of the skills in youngsters needed to become readers. Philoptochos
begins its CHILDREN'S BOOK DRIVE now thru November, and asks for donations of
gently-used and/or new children's story books (unwrapped) suitable for
kindergarten thru 6th grade. A Freedom Readers Book Bin will be available in the
Narthex for your generous book donations. Thank you.
VOYAGE IN GREEK COOKING (6th ed.) is now available online on Facebook, eBay and
Etsy.com. We sincerely thank George Karukas for his kindness in setting up these
three accounts. George has also agreed to serve as our Philoptochos Liaison to
the Parish Council. For cookbook orders, contact Cookbook Coordinators Linda
Moustakis or Irene Sfougaristos -- Cost is still only $15 per book (plus $4 for
shipping and handling, if needed).
