CASA: CITIZENS AGAINST SPOUSE ABUSE

Violence Breaks Up Families... and Ruins Lives

Due the economy, CASA funding has been cut. The safe houses are in need of groceries-- especially food cards from any grocery store, in any amount, will be greatly appreciated. Please keep bringing your unwanted items to church. The CASA thrift store will sell items the victims cannot use in order to pay for housing and other expenses for the abused. Thank you for your generosity.

WANTED - Your photos
We would like your pictures from our upcoming Greek Festival and other church events to be included in our monthly newsletter and on our parish website.
If you have digital photos you would like to share, please e-mail them to Donna Tripp at office@stjohn-mb.org

Thank You - Our heart-felt thanks to everyone who helped with this year's Greek Festival.  We appreciate your time, effort and support in making this event a success.

MEGA YARD SALE NEWS

Saturday, April 17th, 2010
7AM – 4PM
St. John's Fellowship Hall & Grounds
De-clutter! De-clutter! De-clutter!

Begin looking at items, furniture and clothing in your home. Do you have items that could be donated to the church to sell? Beginning January 1st, items can be stored on the second floor of the hall. Large pieces such as furniture can be photographed and posted at the yard sale for pickup by buyer at seller's residence or business. Mention to your friends and neighbors that we will be having a yard sale (especially if they are moving and can't take items with them.)

For more info, call Loretta Siotka (399-8955) or Maria Kiser (449-7644)

One of this year's raffle prizes was a signed and numbered print (No. 001) of our church. A total of 200 prints have been made and signed as a fundraiser for our church. The signed, unframed prints are $20 each, and would make a great gift for someone who has a wedding or a baptism, etc. in our church. The prints could be matted with the date of the event to commemorate a special occasion. These prints are available in the church office, and proceeds will benefit our parish.
