Please understand… Communion is a sign of unity of our faith. Only Orthodox Christians that have prepared themselves through prayer, fasting, and periodic confession are permitted to participate in the Sacrament of Holy Communion. However, we welcome everyone present to partake of the blessed bread which is distributed at the end of the service.

COMMUNITY NEWS AND EVENTS
ST. JOHN CHRYSOSTOM ORATORICAL FESTIVAL:
The St. John
Chrysostom Oratorical Festival's second meeting to discuss any issue you may be
having with your presentation, topic and or research will be held today after
Church during the coffee hour. The date for The St. John Chrysostom Oratorical
Festival, Myrtle Beach, will be held on Sunday, February 19th during the coffee
hour in our social hall. All attendees please be prepared to present your
research topic to our panel of judges. Guests are welcome to attend as well and
are encouraged. The District Festival will be hosted by our Parish on March
17th.
HOUSE AND BUSINESS BLESSINGS:
It is traditional
to invite your Priest to bless your home and business with Holy Water within a
few weeks following Theophany. Please call Fr. Angelo this month at (843)
448-3773 to set up a time that is convenient for you.
2012 STEWARDSHIP:
Our St. John's
Parish Family depends on regular stewardship offerings in order to continue the
work of our Lord through our services and activities year round. Please fulfill
your 2012 Stewardship Pledge today! Thank you for your generous support! If you

is only $150 per year. Ads will appear in “The Voice” as well as our parish

ICONOGRAPHY:
His Eminence is
encouraging our parish to complete its iconography so that the church may be
consecrated. We are seeking donations in order to complete this project. If you
are interested in purchasing an icon, either from our completed projects or from
