WELCOME VISITORS We are glad to have you worshipping with us. Please join us for fellowship immediately following the Liturgy in the Fellowship Hall coffee room. Please understand… Communion is a sign of unity of our faith. Only Orthodox Christians that have prepared themselves through prayer, fasting, and periodic confession are permitted to participate in the Sacrament of Holy Communion. However, we welcome everyone present to partake of the blessed bread which is distributed at the end of the service.

2012 STEWARDSHIP: Our St. John's Parish Family depends on regular stewardship
offerings in order to continue the work of our Lord through our services and
activities year round. Please fulfill your 2012 Stewardship Pledge today! Thank
you for your generous support! If you have not received a pledge card, call the
Church office at (843)448-3773. Pledge forms are also available at the pangari.
2012 GOYA TALENT SHOW & PANCAKE DINNER ~ SUNDAY, APRIL 29TH AT 6:30 PM: Come
support our youth by attending this wonderful event! Tickets are $10 per person
or $30 a family. Please see any GOYAN for a ticket after church or contact

DAUGHTERS OF PENELOPE ~ MOTHER-DAUGHTER DINNER ~ THURSDAY, MAY 10TH AT 5:00 PM
AT "PIZZA ROMA": Husbands and all AHEPA members are invited to this gathering.

A MOTHER'S DAY CELEBRATION ~ SUNDAY, MAY 13TH: On Mother’s Day, May 13th, the
St. John’s Ladies Philoptochos will sponsor a "Prayer Remembrance" celebration
honoring and/or memorializing the special women in your life: mothers,
grandmothers, mothers-in-law, aunts, daughters, Godmothers, Goddaughters and
friends. The names of those honored on this special day will be read aloud
during a "Prayer Remembrance," which will occur following the Divine Liturgy. In
addition, a card will be sent to each honoree—or to her family—informing them of
your donation. If you would like to honor a special woman in your life, please
fill out the form and return it to the Church office or to Anna Kouis (347-2868)
or to Linda Moustakis (238-1473) with your donation (any amount) no later than
Wednesday, May 9th. Forms are available in the April/May issue of "The Voice" or
at the pangari.
ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST FUNDRAISER DINNER ~ THURSDAY, MAY 17TH FROM 5:00-8:00 PM ~
EAT-IN OR TAKE-OUT: The cost is only $8 per plate. Please support this
fundraiser for the Church! If you would like to help cook, set-up, clean-up or
buy or sell tickets, see Jimmy Arakas or any Parish Council member.
ST. STEPHEN'S SUMMER CAMP 2012 ~ THE DIAKONIA RETREAT CENTER, SALEM, SC: Camper
registration and counselor and staff applications are currently being accepted
online. There will be NO paper registrations or counselor applications accepted

"THE VOICE" ST. JOHN'S BI-MONTHLY PUBLICATION: The next publication of "The
Voice" will be a combined June/July issue. Start planning ahead! The deadline
for information you would like printed in that issue is Tuesday, May 15th!
BUSINESS SPONSORS: Sponsors offset the costs of producing our bi-monthly
newsletter. The cost for a business-card sized ad is only $150 per year. Ads
will appear in "The Voice" as well as our parish website. To advertise or for
